The fate of Rahul Dravid's ODI future lies solely in the hands of skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni as the selection committee meets in Chennai on Saturday to pick the squad for the one-off T20 and the five-match ODI series against England to follow. 

Nehra fit for selection for England ODI series



Left-arm pacer Ashish Nehra has submitted his fitness certificate to the BCCI and has made himself available for selection for the upcoming one-off Twenty20 and five-match ODI series against England starting August 31.

"Yes, I have submitted my fitness certificate for the upcoming T20 and ODI series in England," Nehra told PTI from Bangalore on Friday.

'Saviour' Sehwag disappoints on first sight at Northampton


Dashing India opener Virender Sehwag was out for just eight on Friday in what could be his only innings before next week's third Test against England at Edgbaston.

India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and batted but it was not long before Sehwag was out LBW to Northamptonshire's Dave Burton, a 25-year-old right-arm medium-fast bowler playing just his sixth first-class match, at the County Ground in Northampton.

India has won the toss against Northamptonshire and will bat first in the tour match at Northampton.After losing the first two Tests to England, the ragged-looking Indian side will be benefited from the return of Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and Zaheer Khan. Seamer Munaf Patel has also been included in the side for the practice match while Ishant Sharma has been left out.

Zimbabwe return with interest after six-year exile : 264/2

Zimbabwe marked their return from a six-year exile by racking up an impressive 264 for two against Bangladesh on the first day of a one-off Test at the Harare Sports Club on Thursday.

All four of Zimbabwe's top batsmen made runs with Hamilton Masakadza finishing the day unbeaten on 88 with seven fours and a six as he closes in on a second Test century.

Masakadza made his first century 10 years ago on his debut at the age of 17, scoring 119 against West Indies on this same ground.
